A Live Zoom Workshop for parents, students, mental health providers and guidance counselors.
If you are currently, or will soon be navigating the college search as a transgender student, or are a caregiver navigating with your transgender child/client, this workshop is for you. Finding a college that is a good fit is overwhelming for students generally, but even more so if you are part of the transgender community. This is complicated by the current political climate which has resulted in legislative changes in many states throughout the country, some of which are restricting the rights of transgender individuals.
At this virtual workshop, we will discuss the application process and how to research colleges that can support and meet the needs of transgender students. We will address how prospective transgender students can make sound decisions around selecting a college. Participants will leave this interactive workshop more confident in navigating the college selection process, and having a better understanding of how to assess if a college will be safe and affirming.
COST: $35 per family | $25 & $10 rates available. Follow instructions for coupon codes.
A note about Cost:
In an effort to recognize barriers created by systems of oppression we invite those with less financial means to opt into paying a discounted rate, $25 or $10, though nobody will be turned down for lack of funds. In support of this effort, we also invite those with more economic privilege to consider adding $5 - $25 to the base price of attendance. Please contact

Carolyn especially enjoys working with transgender students in helping them reach their full potential while they discover colleges where they can be safe and supported as they learn more about themselves and grow into the adult humans they are meant to be.
