Navigating College Admissions
As a Transgender and/or Nonbinary Student

A Workshop for Students, Parents, Guidance Counselors and other mental health professionals

If you are currently, or will soon be navigating the college search as a transgender and/or nonbinary student, or are a caregiver navigating with your transgender and/or nonbinary child/client, this workshop is for you. Finding a college that is a good fit is overwhelming for students generally, but even more so if you are part of the transgender community.  This is complicated by the current political climate which has resulted in legislative changes in many states throughout the country, some of which are restricting the rights of transgender and nonbinary individuals.

At this virtual workshop, we will discuss the application process and how to research colleges that can support and meet the needs of transgender and nonbinary students.  We will address how prospective students can make sound decisions around selecting a college.  Participants will leave this interactive workshop more confident in navigating the college selection process, and having a better understanding of how to assess if a college will be safe and affirming.
